What does Adventure mean to you?                                         Bookmark and Share

For the young, adventures create new and inspiring memories that reminds them that their journey is just beginning. For the old, adventures revives memories of their youth that reminds them that their journey is far from over. "Forever Young"    Adventure Sayings

The 5 Phases of Adventure
Sharing the same experience does not mean having the same experience.

"Sometimes it's more about the Journey then it is the destination"

"The virtue lies in the struggle, not in the prize."  (Richard Monckton Milnes)

When you hear the word adventure everyone will have different ideas and images on just what that is because what some of you might think is adventurous might not be so adventurous to the person next to you. And you don’t have to be an Adrenaline Junkie or Thrill Seeker to enjoy adventures, all you have to do is take that first step, and just where that will lead you, well no one truly knows,
I guess that is why it's called
adventure?

Adventure:

Here are just some of the definitions for the word Adventure...
An Exciting Experience; A Bold Undertaking involving Uncertainty and Risk; A Challenging Journey;
It's Discovery; It's an Excursion; It's an Expedition; It's Exploration; It's a Voyage; It's a Crossing;
It's Traversing;
It's Traveling; It's something Dangerous; It's T
remendous Exhilaration;   Awe
It's exploring your Fears; It's
something Intense; It's Inspirational; It's
Peak Experiences;
It's a Competition; It's something Surprising and Unexpected; Something out of the ordinary.
It's
a Change in your Life or a Change in your Direction; It's getting in touch.  Sensation Seeking
It's something that’s new or different that isn’t an everyday occurrence...It's Life

Excursion: Wandering from the main path of a journey. A journey taken for pleasure. An excursion is a trip by a group of people, usually made for leisure, education, or physical purposes. It is often an adjunct to a longer journey or visit to a place, sometimes for other (typically work-related) purposes.

Wilderness: A wild and uninhabited area left in its natural condition.

Sports

For the really extreme adventures, like mountain climbing, there's a lot of Training and preparation involved. When doing this particular extreme sport there's a lot of focus, awareness along with some pain and discomfort. So why do something that needs you to sacrifice so much time and energy just to punish yourself? What’s the reward? You are. Because it’s not just about the finish line, the mountaintop, the achievement or the excitement. Or is it only about conditioning your body and mind to take you to places that you only dreamed about. Or is it only about discovering the limits and capabilities of your physical and mental strengths. It’s more about over coming challenges and accomplishing your Dreams and Goals. Because everyone knows there's an incredible feeling that you get when you accomplish a goal, it changes you and it stays with you. And that same planning, determination and passion that you used to accomplish your goal, will no doubt benefit you on accomplishing future dreams and goals, because you now know what it takes and what you are capable of doing. Confidence Note: Even if you never reach the top, at least you were there to attempt the achievement of your dream. The top is mostly just for stats and details and is not the finish line, but the halfway point. Just having the privilege of being there is much more important. There’s no pride or glory in self-indulgence, fame or fortune, especially when the risk is to high.
There is no defeat in trying, and turning back is not saying you are turning away because some of the greatest climbers in the world never make the summit on their first attempt. They learn and they reevaluate and they try again some other day. To believe the top is more important then the journey is to miss out on 90% of what you have achieved. I'm not saying that Winning or achieving complete success is not worth the attempt, I’m just saying that you should at least be ready to accept the consequences, and not just some of the consequences, but all of them. This way no matter what happens you will fully understand the outcome and you will also know that you did your best. Accidents do happen.

Always know the Risks and Dangers associated with Extreme Sports

Adventure is not just about taking calculated risks; Adventure is about foreseeing danger and preparing for it.  The Social Influence on Risky Behavior    Preparedness

Risk is the potential of gaining or losing something of value. Risk is the amount of harm that can be expected to occur during a given time period due to specific harm event.
Risk Assessment is the determination of quantitative or qualitative estimate of risk related to a well-defined situation and a recognized threat (also called hazard). Statistics
Probabilistic Risk Assessment is a systematic and comprehensive methodology to evaluate risks associated with a complex engineered technological entity.
Risk Factor is a variable associated with either increased or decreased risk.
Relative Risk is the ratio of the probability of an event occurring. Planning
Extreme Risk are risks of very bad outcomes or "high consequence", but of low probability.
Risk Matrix is used during risk assessment to define the various levels of risk as the product of the harm probability categories and harm severity categories. This is a simple mechanism to increase visibility of risks and assist management decision making.
Risk Management is the identification, assessment, and prioritization of risks.
Risk Management Tools allow planners to explicitly address uncertainty by identifying and generating metrics, parameterizing, prioritizing, and developing responses, and tracking risk. These activities may be difficult to track without tools and techniques, documentation and information systems.
Absolute Risk Reduction is the change in the risk of an outcome of a given treatment or activity in relation to a comparison treatment or activity. It is the inverse of the number needed to treat.
Health Impact Assessment is defined as "a combination of procedures, methods, and tools by which a policy, program, or project may be judged as to its potential effects on the health of a population, and the distribution of those effects within the population.
Intelligence Assessment is the development of forecasts of behavior or recommended courses of action to the leadership of an organization, based on a wide range of available information sources both overt and covert. Assessments are developed in response to requirements declared by the leadership in order to inform decision making. Problem Solving
Acceptable Loss are casualties or destruction inflicted by the enemy that is considered minor or tolerable.
Insurance
Gamble
Management
Hazard Ratio is the ratio of the hazard rates corresponding to the conditions described by two levels of an explanatory variable.
Hazard Risk is any agent that can cause harm or damage to humans, property, or the environment.
Odds Ratio is one of three main ways to quantify how strongly the presence or absence of property A is associated with the presence or absence of property B in a given population.
Advanced Measurement Approach is when banks are allowed to develop their own empirical model to quantify required capital for operational risk.(Bad Idea)

Hierarchy of Hazard Control is a system used in industry to minimize or eliminate exposure to hazards.
Margin of Error is a statistic expressing the amount of random sampling error in a survey's results.
Research

People conquering their fears is a stupid statement. You want people to understand what Fear is and what risk is. Just removing someone's fear could actually be more dangerous to a person. The same goes for just Motivating People. This is another great reason why knowledge and information is so important. The more knowledgeable people are about what they do, the better their decisions will be. Why do young adults always feel like they are indestructible? Parasite? And why does injury or death not even come to mind the way it should? Feeling indestructible is a weird feeling, because common sense tells us that we are not indestructible. And everyone responds to this illusion of indestructability a little differently, like Risky Behavior, Self-Destructive Behavior and so on. But we sometimes have to push the limits, or we will never know what are limits are. But we don't need to do it so recklessly. We can't ignore the risks, because logic tells us that we should know the risks so that we can prepare ourselves and predict future outcomes so that we may minimize damage or death. We can still learn things about our limits without being reckless. And we can still learn something about our limits by learning about what others have done, or what others failed to do? Knowing the risks will not deter people from trying, but it will at least have a chance to be more successful. But if you don't risk something do you learn less? Will the action seem less significant if you don't risk everything? What if I delay an opportunity because I was too busy fact checking? That is were the Present Moment clause goes into effect. If time is limited, then you will have to rely on your gut feeling. "The Greatest Risk is not taking one."  But we don't have to risk so much anymore, and we don't want people to think that the limit is set. The limit just shows that when exceeding this point, you will experience more problems. We don't want to shy people away from trying things, but not every experience is necessary, and not every experience has value, or will it teach you something important. You should at least know about some of your options. This is one great way to teach Engineering, Math and Science. Let students calculate their ideas, let them see it on paper, or let them see it on the screen. We can make an App for that. A Risk Factor Calculator. Type in the name of the action, or the experiment, or the stunt or what ever you are planning to do. You would have to pre-load your priorities, your responsibilities, your abilities, similar attempts that you have taken, and so on. Then a risk factor will be calculated, 1 to 10, so if it were a 9.8 then the risk of losing everything is high. But there are other factors involved, like the present moment, your needs, your choices, your options, good planning, good judgment, to name a few. You have to do your research, and if others have already done some research on this subject, than knowing that could save you an enormous amount of time, and avoid costly mistakes.

Some adventures are not a walk in the woods. Some sports are very dangerous and not for everyone. So it's your responsibility to know what adventure or sport is right for you. People must then train properly, plan and educate themselves about their sport. People must also be aware of any physical or mental factors about themselves that might add to the risk, and not just to themselves, but to others as well who are sharing the adventure with you. Never underestimate any given situation, sometimes just forgetting to bring enough water or stepping to close to an edge or underestimating the force of a river could put your life at risk.

What could go wrong?

Depending on the adventure there is always a possibility that things could go wrong like Flash Floods, Drowning, Hypothermia, Broken Bones, injuries or Death from Falling, Altitude Sickness, attacks by Dangerous Wildlife, injured from falling rocks or trees, struck by Lightning, Blizzards, freak storms, Frostbite, Avalanches, Crevasses, sickness from a Viruses or Bacteria, sickness from Poisonous Plants or insects, suffer Dehydration, you could get separated from your group and be lost, you could get stuck and not be able to move, you can suffer from Gas Poisoning, you could be attacked by a criminal, you could be arrested, you could have a heart attack, you could crash your car, get hit by a car, your plane could crash, just to name a few. So are you ready?

Your mental strength is just as important as your physical strength. So mental preparation is just as important as physical preparation. All Brawn and no Brains will leave you vulnerable to mistakes.

Still the responsibility of your life and safety lies solely on you. No one is saying you have to do something adventurous. Just like most things in your life you have to assess the situation, get several opinions, anticipate obstacles, take calculated risks, have accountability, rationalize, have teamwork and never never expect.

75% of all life threatening injuries from sports are a result of not wearing the right protective gear or not enough, so please wear protective gear to avoid serious injury.
Knowing how to treat sports injuries is just as important as knowing how to avoid them

With Adventures you never know everything, but the thrill of the unknown is part of the adventure.

You can work through certain kinds of Pain because you know from previous experiences that this type of pain is not related to serious injury, it's mostly related to fatigue, which could be saying that you have passed your limit of physical endurance. So sometimes you can mostly ignore this type of pain and enjoy more of the moment. But you cannot totally ignore this pain because the pain is also an indicator of weakness, which could effect certain mobility and strength moves, so you have to be extra careful. You also have to pay extra attention to time because pain can also slow you down. And if time is a major factor in what you are doing, then you must take notice.

Will you be addicted to adventure and feel that you must do something even more daring the next time? Though adrenalin can be very exhilarating, adventure is not about pushing your limits or out doing the other person, or having something to prove, or to brag about or to impress people, because then you’re doing it for all the wrong reasons. Adventure is about knowing your limits and studying all the factors involved in your sport, and not doing something that the danger and risk of bodily harm far out weighs what you want to achieve.   Rex Kramer: Danger Seeker (youtube)
There's no worth in stupidity. Except for Jackass.    Adrenaline Rush: The Science of Risk (2012)

Folly: The trait of acting stupidly or rashly. A stupid mistake. The quality of being rash and foolish.
Foolish or senseless behavior.  Foolish: Devoid of good sense or judgment.
Senseless: Not marked by the use of reason. Serving no useful purpose; having no excuse for being
Lacking sense or understanding or judgment.

There's a difference between 'Pushing your Limits' and 'Pushing your Luck

There's also a difference between Knowing your Limits and Knowing your Abilities.
And Discovering your Limits is not the same as Exceeding your Limits.
You train hard, you study hard and you increase your abilities.
A limit is something that you don't automatically know. Your abilities is something you can know.
Know your abilities and make good calculations on what you think might be your limit.
And always know that when you do exceed your limit, this does not necessarily mean that you have found your new limit, it just may be that you're a little more aware of an ability that you may or may not be able to repeat. Just be careful.

Recklessness     Reasonable Person     Pushing the Envelope

Always know the importance of exploring your abilities and the value of adventure in your life, but more important, always be aware of the potential hazards and risks involved with recreational activities, be responsible for your actions and safety, use good sound judgment, learn as much as you can about your activity and always be prepared for the unexpected!

"He who hesitates is lost, but it's a good idea to look before you leap."

"Amongst all the different kinds of adventures there are in the world, there’s an adventure for everyone and each adventure will have that moment that will inspire you long after the adventure is over"

You don't Learn if you don't Live, Live and Learn..                Wild and Crazy Stunts

Life is a Gamble

Gambling is a fun activity, mostly because gambling also involves Risk Taking, which is something that humans need to do now and then for survival, and also to learn about our environment. But just gambling with Money, for money, is really a waste of time, resources and energy. Mostly because it's nearly impossible to accurately calculate the Value of your actions when you're using just money. How could you be a winner when it took of thousands of people to lose just for you to win? One person benefiting out of a million is not supposed to be fun. If people spent their gambling money on projects that help advance and improve their world, then eventually everyone would win, and be a winner.
So the gambler lives in a false reality, never truly knowing how much time, resources and energy is actually being wasted, or what the losses really are. Like chasing your own tail, an endless cycle of ignorance. Not to say that gambling is not fun once in a while, it's just that we don't have a lot of time to waste on things that truly benefit us. We have taken a necessary action called "risk taking" and turned into a game of mind control and Behavior Addiction, what a waste. Dilemma (wiki)
Anticipation of winning, and dreaming of winning, releases a hormone in the brain called Dopamine. But dopamine was not supposed to make us feel good about stupid decisions, it was supposed to make us feel good about good decisions, ones that we are sure of. But even then, it's just a Feeling and not a Measurement of reality.
No matter how you look at life, we all take chances everyday in many different ways. So risk taking comes in many forms. Some things we are aware of, and other things we have no idea that we are even taking a risk on, or, are we aware of how damaging those losses really are. We gamble on what we eat, what we do for a living, what we do for fun, and so on and so on. We have loss sight of Value, and this blindness is killing us. This is another reason why we need to improve Education. We are all so busy treating our diseases, and hardly any of us are working on the cure. You should minimize the things you gamble on and take only Calculated Risks when the odds are in your favor and only when you are totally aware of the actual losses as well as the possible gains.
Americans spend more than $70 billion on lottery games. Most of that money was spent by people who can least afford to play. Lower income people more likely to gamble so the poor are being taxed even more.
I gambled almost my whole life doing adventurous activities, with several of those experiences nearly killing me. I also played card games, went to casinos, and bought lottery tickets. But as I got older I slowly started eliminating certain gambling activities. But I still love adventures, and I also play the lottery a couple a times a week, mostly as a way to pay my taxes. And the funny thing is that I'm really glad that I never hit the lottery, mostly because the ideas about what I would do with the winnings has changed over the years, so I'm extremely lucky that I have never won because it might have been a curse instead of a blessing.
So now, since 2008, I have been working on improving education, so no matter what happens, this is what I will do for the rest of my life. It is the most logical thing that I can do. Some of us are just happy chasing our own tails, and others find happiness in doing what is right. The key is learning to  balance our time.

Gambler's Fallacy is the mistaken belief that, if something happens more frequently than normal during some period, it will happen less frequently in the future, or that, if something happens less frequently than normal during some period, it will happen more frequently in the future (presumably as a means of balancing nature).

Why do humans need to do things anyway?

Humans are born discoverers. Just look at babies, they're always moving and trying to figure out what they can do. The human brain needs to interact with the world in order for us to understand it. And that need to explore stays with us as we grow older. That's why a lot of people travel, and that is why a lot of people do amazing things with their bodies when playing sports or when doing recreational activities. So why would someone climb a mountain, a mountain that 100's of people have already climb, you wonder what's the point? "I" is the point. I haven't climbed that mountain. Just knowing that others have climbed that mountain before me does not transfer the experience to me. So I have to find out for myself. I want to experience what others have experienced, or I want to experience new things that most people have not experienced or very seldom experienced. But when we get older sometimes our needs change, and not everyone has this desire to explore, which is not all that bad, as long as someone is exploring.  Knowledge Explorer

People with goals succeed because they know where they’re going.   (Earl Nightingale)

The first requisite for success is to develop the ability to focus and apply your mental and
physical energies to the problem at hand without growing weary. Because such thinking is often hard work, there seems to be no limit to which some people will go to avoid the labor that is associated with it. I never did anything worth doing entirely by accident. Our physical journeys in the world are just as important as our mental explorations in the mind, the discoveries are endless. (Howard Polley)

To explore new places that you have never seen before is one thing, to discover something new that was never there before is another, especially when that something new reveals itself only in your mind. Inspiration is an idea that you fell in love with that was influenced by someone or something.

"For the young, adventures create new and inspiring memories that reminds them that their journey is just beginning. For the old, adventures revives memories of their youth that reminds them that their journey is far from over"  "Forever Young"

"Sometimes the only thing that keeps us from trying is ourselves,  It’s not what can we do now, it’s what we can do next?"   Confidence

Life in its self is an adventure that we should embrace as much as we can. Adventure is really important to people’s lives but everyone gets consumed with life’s responsibilities and the things that we hold dear, like family, friends, school, work, religion and goals. So our lives may seem filled but we neglect to pay attention to that one incredibly special thing, life itself. We need to take that much needed break, a break that expands our personal experiences, a break that replenishes and refreshes our sense of being, a break that reminds us of this miracle we are all living. But you just can’t go and do an adventure and expect positive results, you have to do it in a way that you will feel totally disconnected from your everyday life, otherwise you will just be living the same life in a different location, which is not an adventure at all.  (Howard Polley)

Everyone should be very aware just how important it is for each of us to be exploring our own abilities. It's essential to ones mental, physical and spiritual growth. Having challenges in our lives not only gives us purpose, but it also gives us awareness of ourselves, awareness of our capabilities and a clearer understanding of the endless possibilities that life has given us.   (Howard Polley)

Rise free from care before the dawn, and seek adventures. Let the noon find thee by other lakes,
and the night overtake thee everywhere at home. There are no larger fields than these, no worthier
games than may here be played. Grow wild according to thy nature, like these sedges and brakes, which will never become English bay. Let the thunder rumble; what if it threaten ruin to farmers’ crops? That is not its errand to thee. Take shelter under the cloud, while they flee to carts and sheds. Let not to get a living be thy trade, but thy sport. Enjoy the land, but own it not. Through want of enterprise and faith men are where they are, buying and selling, and spending their lives like
serfs. (Henry David Thoreau

"I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. I did not wish to live what was not life, living is so dear; nor did I wish to practice resignation, unless it was quite necessary, I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, to live so sturdily and Spartan-like as to put to rout all that was not life, to cut a broad swath and shave close, to drive life into a corner, and reduce it to its lowest terms, and, if it proved to be mean, why then to get the whole and genuine meanness of it, and publish its meanness to the world; or if it were sublime, to know it by experience, and be able to five a true account of it in my next excursion. For most men, it appears to me, are in a strange uncertainty about it, whether it is of the devil or of God, and have somewhat hastily concluded that it is the brief end of man here to ‘glorify God and enjoy him forever’"   (Henry David Thoreau)

"No man ever followed his genius 'til it misled him. Though the results were bodily weakness yet perhaps no one can say that the consequences were to be regretted. For these were a life in conformity to higher principles. If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal, that is your success. All nature is your congratulation, and you have momentarily to bless yourself. The greatest gains and values are farthest from being appreciated. We easily come to doubt if they exist. We soon forget them. They are the highest reality. the true harvest of my daily life is somewhat as intangible and indescribable as the tints of morning or evening. It is a little stardust caught a segment of the rainbow which I have clutched."
"Our life is frittered away by detail. Simplify. Simplify." Walden, Henry David Thoreau

The things that you could find and learn when you’re Looking for Adventure are endless....

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I,
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
(
Robert Frost)

Slow down and enjoy life. It's not only the scenery you miss by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.  (Eddie Cantor)

There are two kinds of failures: Those who thought and never did, and those who did and never thought. (Laurence J. Peter)

People travel to wonder at the height of the mountains, at the huge waves of the seas, at the long course of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motion of the stars, and yet they pass by themselves without wondering.   (St. Augustine of Hippo)

Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.

A Rolling Stone Gathers no Moss

Are you more worried about doing things right, or doing the right things?

If you haven’t achieved it yet, what do you have to lose?

It doesn’t have to be Do or Die? Just do it before you Die…

Are you holding onto something you need to let go of?

At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
If not now, then when?

Is Success 10 Percent Inspiration and 90 Percent Perspiration?
Or is Success 90 Percent Preparation and 10 Percent Luck?

If the average human life span was 40 years, how would you live your life differently?

There is only so much you can learn from Experiences

Are we simply the sum of our experiences?

After experiencing so many different adventures in my life, I realized that there was only so much that you can learn from your experiences. I knew there was more to life then just reaching a mountain top or jumping out of an airplane. Even though those experiences were important to me, and they benefited me in many ways, I still knew that in order for those experiences to really mean something, there needed to be the information and knowledge that explained why. So my journeys switched from adventure travel to reading. There's an enormous amount of knowledge and information that can only be learned by reading. So reading the most valuable published writings became my new adventures. Though standing on mountain tops still inspires me and still fills me with great satisfaction, and at the same time keeps me connected to mother earth, my quest for knowledge and information has risen me to new heights that I never would have experienced, even if I had climbed every mountain in the world. So I'm still am 'Looking for Adventure' but now I'm also Looking for Knowledge. So naturally along with having my adventure website I also have my knowledge website called Basic Knowledge 101.com  "The Adventures in Learning"

"Doing a lot does not always mean that you're learning a lot."

Doing more does not necessarily mean that your are Living more, for living is not about quantity,
living is more about Quality, and that quality is measured by the people you have helped in your
life and not by the people that you have used in your life.

Empiricism is a theory that states that knowledge comes only or primarily from sensory experience. But we know now that this is not always true.
Empirical Evidence is data, or knowledge, also known as sense experience, is a collective term for the knowledge or source of knowledge acquired by means of the senses.

And in the end, the love you take Is equal to the love you make, easier said the done.

I learned a lot of things in my life, and still have a lot more to learn. Learning is like a beautiful never ending journey. It's also like climbing the worlds highest mountain, you can't see the top of the mountain, but the higher you climb, the more you see.

There's a few things about experiences. First is the quality of the experience, was it good or bad? Second is the timing and sequence of the experience, was it to early in your life or did you need to experience other things first? Third is what you learned from those experiences? You seem to benefit the most from experiences when you have the right experiences at the right moments. When experiences are out of sequence, or when experiences happen at the wrong moments, they can have completely different effects, some good, and some really really bad. Drugs were fun most of the time, or so I thought, but drugs really slow down learning, drugs also blur the experience, so experiences tend to have less meaning, which kind of ruins the whole point of having experiences. Learn the right things at the right time, and most important, learn to process what you have experienced and learned. If your life becomes to busy and to fast, you'll miss it. Take that break, take that walk, take a moment to be alone and reflect. And keep learning, because you need new knowledge and new information, not just to expand your intellect, but to reprocess old experiences and old memories. I remember more about my life now then I ever did, all because I'm learning more now then in I ever did, which helps me reconnect to all those old memories, giving them new life and new meaning. Thank you Internet, and thanks to all who have contributed to this enormous resource of knowledge that we have accumulated throughout human history. We have finally arrived, and what a beautiful feeling that is.

We cannot directly share experiences, we can only describe our experiences using words and symbols. And even if two people experience the same thing, it is still subjective and personal. No two people can have the exact same experience, they may share certain aspects of the experience, but never in the exact same way. Experience is processed information, it creates content, and content defines being.

"I have been on an incredible journey. I have collected many things on my journey. And because most of these things can be compressed into zero's and ones, I can now carry almost all my experiences with me and never feel weighed down. So I can keep moving forward. And I can always go back anytime in my journey because I have the trail markers with me, which are compressed into zero's and ones."

You are either working on your Dreams and Goals or you're Searching for dreams and goals that you feel are worth perusing. Both journeys are extremely important, but not more important then increasing your Knowledge. 'Learning Something New' should always be one of your main goals.
In the realm of Logic is a sanctuary that all humans should visit often, or at the least know where the sanctuary of logic resides. But even then, knowing that you are Human is an Understanding that as humans we cannot fully control everything or even come close to being Aware of everything, in our World or in Ourselves. So we must, at this moment, except this fact. But Acceptance of the Uncertainty does not mean that one should ignore the things that a person knows to be Certain.
This is where knowledge truly stands out as being the most powerful tool that every human should possess. The feeling of emptiness or the feeling that you have no life or hope is just a reaction that humans experience when they stop educating themselves. When you stop learning you are always going to be more Vulnerable and struggle more with everyday life situations. As we live our lives as best as we can between those moments of doing and not doing, continually learning is really the only logical thing that we can do. And when it comes to giving advice or taking advice from someone else, always keep in mind that advice is only the beginning of many Questions that you need to answer. Like what is 'Learning' and what are the things that a person needs to learn? Humans have been on a Journey from the beginning. Searching and walking almost the entire earths surface for that Shangri La or that place that a person can call 'Home'. But as soon as we arrive the first thing we learn is that the Physical Journey was just the beginning and that the Ultimate Journey is the Journey of the Mind.    (

The Natural Beauty of the Great Outdoors in Perfect Harmony.. Awe

National Parks are a beautiful reminder of what God was doing for hundreds of millions of years before humans were even created. Just think about it, hundreds of millions of years creating magnificent mountains, beautiful oceans, streams and rivers, in a perfect balanced Ecosystem that has built to sustain itself for millions of years, living in harmony with all kinds of amazing life forms, to roam her land, to fly through her skies and to swim in her seas. Evolution or Intelligent Design?
I couldn’t even begin to imagine a greater place then earth, and we can see hundreds millions of light years away. Even if there were another living planet, I doubt it would be as nice as earth.

Nature is more then just visual it’s a feeling of Serenity, Tranquility, Peacefulness, Harmony and Calm. If you lose this feeling it means that you are simply lost and out of touch.
It's like the
Six degrees of Separation, everybody in one way or another is related to Mother Earth.

It’s easy to describe how beautiful our earth is, especially now with photos and video, but when try to describe what you feel when you see a National Park, like Glacier National Park in Wyoming for instance, it’s really hard to find the words that do it justice, it’s like trying to describe life. It’s has to be the oldest living feeling in our human history. Knowing that millions of eyes before you have witnessed what you are seeing, it’s like being connected to all our ancestors, especially the American Indians, who have loved this land for thousands of years before America was even a country. When you read all the beautiful words that people have written about National Parks, it’s like you are reading a love story, and that’s what it truly is, a love story. I have always loved the outdoors and our natural environment, and when I see it being destroyed, it’s like someone destroying your home with your family still inside. Even amongst all the devastation, we are so fortunate that we had some great people who stood up and fought to protect our natural environments.
You have to see the Documentary by Ken Burns: National Parks - America's Best Idea
Humans are the caretakers of this earth, the only living planet around. So it is everyone’s responsibility to protect our earth and all its life forms, because believe it or not, our life actually depends on it.

Scientists estimate that 150-200 species of plant, insect, bird and mammal become extinct every 24 hours. This is nearly 1,000 times the "natural" or "background" rate and, say many biologists, is greater than anything the world has experienced since the vanishing of the dinosaurs nearly 65 million years ago.

"We can either be part of this miracle called the eco-system or just Go Extinct like 99.9% of other species have done before. We just happen to be the only species in the history of our planet who actually might have a choice"

The human body is in fact very much like the earths eco-system, it grows, it regenerates, it sustains, it dies and then it’s reborn. So in a sense the earth is an extension of our body for it too keeps us alive. The earth can live without humans but humans cannot live without the earth.
We are all Connected

The earth is our greatest teacher. Everything that our earth has taught us, through her many lessons and examples, has given us the abilities and knowledge to survive and grow for ten’s of thousands of years. But for some strange reason humans have stopped paying attention to their teacher. Blame it on emotions, superficial distractions or an undisciplined brain. This Attention Deficit is every humans Achilles Heal. We cannot allow ourselves to be distracted or blinded from knowing our responsibilities, our priorities and our own reality. One of earth’s greatest lessons is upon us, “Learn to Live Together or Die”. And not just learn to live each other as humans, but learn to live together with our planet. There’s nothing more damaging to the human spirit then suffering. And there’s no need to suffer in order to learn a lesson. Though survival is a great motivator, motivation without a clear direction or understanding will always lead to more confusion and then more suffering. Our fellow humans are suffering and so is our earth. It’s time that we start paying more attention to what we need to do and not just what we want to do.

Every living thing on this planet is in some way affected by the environment in which they live. The number of environmental effects that Humans have to deal with is much higher then any other species on the planet. That is because we have added most of theses environmental effects ourselves. We are not totally aware of most of these environmental effects but we are aware of a lot of them. Everyone needs to be more informed in order to be aware of these effects and to be aware if they are contributing to these effects. Also everyone needs to be more informed in order to understand and become more aware of the effects that we know little about. If we minimize our affects on the environment while at the same time educate ourselves about the ones that we need to contend with, we will definitely improve life to a degree because we all know that things have a cumulative effect, whether they are good or bad.

You have to learn to understand the Soil, what it needs and what it offers.
The earth is our Mother and she’s the reason why we are all here.
Take care of her and she’ll take care of you.
And please don’t mind the occasional outbursts from Mother Nature,
she’s just reminding us that we should never take Life for Granted."
Thank You Mom..

The universe is our home. The earth is our teacher and the animals are the students. Since most animals have been here longer then humans they have become the teachers assistant. Animals have taught us many things on how to survive and the reasons to migrate.

Our Souls are Seeds our Words are its Soil
Spreading the seeds of knowledge
like a flower spreading its seeds in the wind
education is the first step so let us begin
our evolution is upon us and has already begun
it's time for all to realize we too can shine like the sun.
