When Browsing News Articles online: I usually just click on one story of interest after browsing over 20 plus story headlines on each news website. That is the equivalent to watching 24 hours of TV news & seeing only one thing of interest. That is how much junk there is on TV and also on the World Wide Web. But at least the Internet is a 1,000 times more efficient & 5,000 times more effective when it comes to searching for accuracy, because you now have more then one opinion & a lot more information. Plus with so much to choose from there's something for everyone. On demand with just a click of the mouse or a hand gesture or the sound of your voice. When seeing the news I usually say this..."That is a Lie and a Very Ignorant Observation"
You learn over time to know what headlines are Misleading and what subject matter is Relevant or irrelevant. Most are just based on Speculation and don't reveal any new Information or Insight. The article comments sometimes offer more insight then the actual article itself, but not always. Marginalia, or notes in the margins is nothing new. But electronic annotates themselves can also be speculation. So you have to ask, why do news people waste our valuable time? And why do people waste even more time commenting on something that is a waste of time to begin with? After you break it all down how much information is actually there. Who wants to go through 100% garbage just to find the 10% that may not be garbage. The people going through all the garbage that our media regurgitates daily, just to find the 10% that might be useful, should be paid a nice income. But of course the most logical thing to do is to stop creating so much garbage. People talk but they don’t say anything. And what I mean by that is, 90 percent of people on TV, Radio and the printed media are not saying anything important, honest or insightful. We are horribly over saturated with empty words. If the Media spent the same amount of time educating the public, as they do trying to Manipulate the public, we would have a lot less ignorance in the world. This is a horrible waste of technology and a waste of an extremely important public service. They need to pass a law that makes a fair portion of our media to have numerous intelligent people communicating the most important knowledge and information that is relevant, honest and to the point. It seems that the people who are responsible for making these improvements feel that they are somehow separated from everyone else on the planet. I guess it's just another one of those Psychopathic affects that money and power inflicts on your average unsuspecting human. Most of today's Reporters and Journalists are mostly Actors and Screenwriters who do their job only for the money instead of the service. Most are just pretending to have a conscience and some are even oblivious to the truth. Today's Mainstream Media News is filled with a bunch ignorant morons commenting on other ignorant morons using the same ignorant words as the other ignorant morons to describe what the other ignorant morons are saying. (A Viral Loop that is similar to the cycle of ignorance except that this is on a different playing field, we should be learning and progressing instead of just spending most of our time regurgitating, makes me wonder if 'two girls and one cup' is just an Interpretive Dance that expresses what the media actually looks like at times, yes you are totally gross.) This goes way beyond being irresponsible, this is Criminally Negligent. I'm all for having variety and having something for everyone but you have to have organization in order to maximize Understanding instead of Distractions that waste time, confuse and Manipulate, which will not educate people enough to take appropriate Action. Maybe News websites should have a section called Relevant news so it's separated from all the irrelevant news. And we all know that it's not what you say it's how you say it. When you attach your opinion to information it no longer is information. If you are not stating any facts or evidence you're just wasting valuable time and resources. We should even go as far as making TV shows who try to pretend that they are the news register as sex offenders because they are truly mind f ***ing the public. The FCC should make them have a warning message super imposed at the bottom of their televised program that says "This Program is Propaganda and a Dangerous and Irresponsible Distortion of Reality. Of course entertainment shows like sports, movies, comedies and talent shows would not have to have this warning message as long as they are clearly entertainment. News should just be news. Investigated reporting without opinion that states the facts and the evidence to help Inform and educate the public without any corporate sponsored manipulation. It's amazing how TV makes Disinformation look so beautiful. So you have to ask, what kind of evil scumbag would want to use an amazing technology like TV, as well as time, people and resources, just to make Poison look good?
Are Distractions and Propaganda the same thing? Can Codependency also be related to the publics interpretation of the world or World View? Is the Media Enabling the public in a negative sense? (Howard Polley) "One of the concerns I have with some of the print media is that it's almost all comment, which is always partial and is always partisan. in that respect, I don't know if you could call them newspapers anymore — they're perhaps comment papers." (Anne Begg) Why can't we have a Newspaper with just Facts and Information? Once you start stereotyping words then you limit the ability to communicate effectively. Stereotyping words is narrow minded prejudice at its worst. You would be an ignorant moron if you used popularity as your only gauge to determine how true or how important something is. But the sad fact is that people do use popularity as their only gauge to determine how true or how important something is. And that type of thinking is exactly why so many people get exploited and mislead. Like a dog chasing her own tail. Is there such a thing as a people whisperer?
I'm not saying you're stupid, I'm just saying that you have bad luck when it comes to thinking.
It's ok to disagree with me, I can't force you to be right.
I love the sound you make when you shut up.
BAD TV We don't want to suppress creative expression on TV. We just need to control the amount of Bad TV that is forced on the average TV viewer, especially a TV viewer who does not have the ability to understand the Psychological Effects of TV or control the amount of TV time that someone should have. Why does everything have to be a Soap Opera? Are we addicted to Drama? Are people addicted to Astonishment?
Drama should only be used for entertainment, drama should never be used as a method of control. Someday we will all look back and laugh about how incredibly ignorant TV was. How could we have wasted this technology and used it against ourselves in such a degrading way? How could we allow activities like Sports to be Commercialized and Demoralized? Audience

When it comes to Sitcoms and Comedies, though it is sometimes funny to make fun of peoples ignorance and bad behavior you have to be aware that it sometimes encourages bad behavior and makes people believe that ignorance is normal and acceptable, which it is not. If a TV show wins an Emmy Award, and that TV show clearly is an example of making fun of peoples ignorance and bad behavior, how could you award something like that? You can't say that everyone gets the Joke? So why do we Laugh? More bad examples to learn from. If you are to call yourself a school, then this is your duty, learn from these bad examples, or you will parish from its results. If they can land a man on the moon why can't they make responsible Animated Cartoons? And why can't they have Game Shows that are actually educational with knowledge and information we use in everyday life? "Most people live in a box where they spend most of their time looking at another box. Thinking outside the Box is just as important as living outside the box" (Howard Polley) An hour of TV can shorten your life by 22 minutes. The same effect as smoking two cigarettes. The problem is not actually TV itself but the lack of activity. 15 minutes of fitness a day can add 3 years to your life. Movies Hollywood Films or Movies in general are a fantastic way to bring our experiences and our imaginations to life, while at the same time sharing them with millions of people. The combination of music, images and acting provides an incredible experience that can have a profound effect on it's viewers. But sadly movies are mostly entertainment and not so much educational. Hollywood Films can also be used as propaganda, which is talked about in a documentary called Hollywood and the War Machine (Youtube). Though there are lessons to be learned in certain films, that knowledge quickly dissipates. Mostly because people watch more then one movie, which makes the last movie you watched start to fade and become less meaningful. I myself have watched over 1,500 movies. I have been inspired and enlightened many times. I believe that a lot of those movies I watched had good information and knowledge. But you need to be aware of this information and knowledge and know where to look for it. Schools need to use this massive resource to their advantage. Even though a lot of the facts and knowledge in movies is lost in the drama, there is still information and knowledge there, even if it is misrepresented or marred in the creative expression of film making. So even movies is part of Media Literacy that needs to be taught and learned. Deciphering and recognizing the lessons imbedded in films, whether intentional or not, makes a great learning tool. Even though I have gained more knowledge and information from just 50 Documentaries, compared to 1,500 Hollywood Movies, I still would use Hollywood films as a learning tool. You should know the differences between a Documentary Film, Docudrama, Fiction, Non-fiction, B Movie & Reality TV. Having open discussions about movies before and after you view them can offer more then just entertainment, you could actually learn something. It's a good idea to know before a movie starts if you want to be Entertained or Educated? Because sometimes it's hard to do both. So I suggest that you watch the movie first for the entertainment value and then watch it again for its educational value, if any. "Being able to access a Specific Timeline in a specific movie is extremely valuable because you can show a nice video example of an idea or an expression in a really short period of time. Like having a link to a webpage, boom you're there." Movies have so many great examples of "what not to say" and "what not to do and a lot of different versions of dumb and dumber. Teachers can easily show students particular ways of thinking that are wrong and help explain why they are wrong. There is a big difference between having fun and being a good example. This of course is not saying that you can't learn from bad examples, I'm just saying that there is usually a better time and place for almost everything. Is the Drama important? (Howard Polley)

Yes we do need movie Ratings but we also need an explanation you freaking morons! So what do you consider to be Suitable For Children? General Audiences, what's that? If there is no nudity, sex scenes or drug use present in the motion picture then what's in it? Do you expect me to believe that nudity, sex scenes or drug use are the only harmful things that a child can be exposed to? Parents "may" consider some material unsuitable for their children? What is unsuitable? And where is this unsuitable thing in the movie? And just how would parents know what is unsuitable for their children if you never explained what unsuitable is and just how does this unsuitable thing effect a person? And why would it be alright for children to view something unsuitable just because they are with an adult? What's the adult supposed to do block the Childs view? Parents Strongly Cautioned, what the hell does that mean? NC-17 does not mean "obscene" or "pornographic" so why is it different from rated "R"? Why is the content appropriate for an adult audience? What are you considering to be an Adult? And don't tell me it's just their age. So what is an common everyday expression?....Lucy, you've got some 'splainin to do! Thematic It's like someone handing you some food and saying "This Might be Poisonous?" So of course your natural response would be "What is it?"..So, what is it? Movie Ratings do not define dangerous material and their effects, they only categorize material. An Adult Theme does not imply that it is suitable or that it is without danger, no matter what the persons age. Freedom of Expression has many Responsibilities. I do not agree with everything that is portrayed in Documentaries, Movies or TV Shows. I assimilate the most logical parts of information and put them together to form an understanding. Then I write down my understandings so that I can share this information with others. Every person must learn how to recognize what information is accurate and valuable. So what is your procedure for filtering and assimilating information? Media Literacy " Most powerful is he who has himself in his own power."
