“The Best Ski Resorts for Stag and Hen Parties”                Bookmark and Share

You’ve been challenged with the unenviable task of organizing a stag or hen party but at least all members of the party say they’re in favour of a few days’ skiing. It’s likely that you’ll start by looking for Bargain Ski Holidays and easily accessible resorts, with a surplus of snow and abundant après ski. Seek inspiration online by searching for Group Ski Holidays and consider these resorts:

Les Deux Alpes

Nestling close to Mont Blanc, this high altitude French resort has 220 km of pisted runs and offers year-round skiing. With beautiful scenery, budget accommodation, vibrant night life and one of Europe’s largest snowparks, it’s great for big groups and, in terms of value for money, it’s hard to beat. Book a cheap flight to Chambery or Grenoble, then take an hour-long bus transfer. Beginners will be in good hands at the largest ski school in France, while advanced skiers will love the glacier. Don’t miss The Secret, Smithy’s or Smokey Joe’s and prepare to party till dawn at The Avalanche.

Claiming to be the adrenaline capital of Europe, with the best nightlife of any Alpine resort, the town of Chamonix is situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, close to the borders of France, Switzerland and Italy. It’s an obvious choice for a long weekend – jump on a budget flight to Geneva and you’re there in a flash after a speedy transfer. The scenery is picture perfect and the slopes cater for all levels - Brevent and la Flégère are close to town, while thrill seekers should head to Argentière or Les Grands Montets. Choose from self-catering apartments to luxury hotels and round off your day with happy hour drinks at Chambre Neuf.

Val d’Isere

Not exactly cheap, but you’ll be guaranteed an awesome time in Val d’Isere, enjoying the high altitude Espace Killy, one of the world’s greatest ski areas. 300km of pistes are served by state-of-the-art lifts and a gondola, giving you access to all parts of the resort and to nearby Tignes.
It’s within two and a half hours of Grenoble, Geneva or Lyon and there’s a great range of accommodation. Begin your après ski by dancing on the tables of the Folie Douce, before gravitating towards Dicks T Bar for a night of proper proportions.

Austria’s second largest and most popular resort after St Anton, Ischgl is little known among Brits but is an obvious choice for hens and stags, being a well-oiled party machine and boasting 155 miles of slopes and great off-piste skiing. Hop on a plane to Innsbruck with BA or Easyjet, before transferring in an hour and a half to the resort. Ischgl comes alive from 2pm, beginning in the mountain bars and continuing in the medieval town late into the night.

Also nestling in Austria’s Tyrol, the bustling town of Kitzbühel is a classic ski resort and a great choice for hens and stags. There are heaps of flights to Munich, and with many leaving after 9pm you can maximize your party and ski time without having to relinquish too much of your precious holiday. Accommodation ranges from simple B&Bs to lavish spa hotels.
