It's great to know someone in the music industry. Junkman is an internet DJ at KNAC.com in California. We've none each other since Broadview Junior High School in 1974 "Go Broadview Bears". I occasionally get to go with him on some of his assignments where he gets to go to rock shows to meet and write about rock bands, what a freaking great job don't you think? Well this night just happened to take us to the Mid Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie N.Y. where Twisted Sister was the main act. I haven't seen them in 30 years since they played at the Fore 'n Aft in Brewster N.Y. around 1975. This awesome heavy metal show, or house of hair, started with 3 opening bands. First up was Lynch Mob
Next up was Yngwie Malmsteen
Then Sebastian Bach
Then Twisted Sister took the stage and rocked the house. Hearing the crowd sing the lyrics to some of the songs was pretty cool. There were old heavy metal fans who never stopped listening and a new generation of heavy metal fans who are in no doubt ready to carry on the torch. Hot women, back stage passes and plenty of screaming fans, this was a great night. I didn't seem too old either especially knowing that some of the band members were older then me. I can now feel comfortable acting my age. Thanks Junkman! Howie " Heavy Mettle "
