The Coin operated binocular is also known as a viewfinder, view master, viewing scope, outdoor viewer, tower viewer, scenic viewer or free use viewer. 10x42 manual-focus binocular makes the image appear 10 times closer than seen with the unaided human eye. (42mm is the diameter of the lens) Of course I have a digital camera with 20x zoom that has a 28 - 560mm range. So if the human eye sees roughly 50mm then my camera at 560/50 = 11.2X
So I can see 1.2 times farther then the Coin operated binocular and the best part is I didn't have to put a quarter in my camera.
But I did have to put a bunch of quarters in my camera when I first bought it though. But I can take my viewer with me. So I'm still better. Take the you quarter eater!
